Libraries have become more than storages for books. They have become landmarks in cities and universities with impressive buildings. But how are they addressing the needs of citizens and students in the 21st century? What are the successful combinations of books and new media for learning facilities? Examples from the Netherlands and a number of European countries will demonstrate different approaches to create libraries as public paradises.
